The Western Division (Division) is obligated to provide several Division Representatives to the American Fisheries Society (Society) to represent the business and matters of the Division. These representatives on the Division’s behalf include:
- the President (odd years) or President-Elect (even years) serve as Division Representatives to the Society Governing Board,
- the President serves as Division Representative to the Management Committee
- The President (or an appointee) serves as Division Representative to the Resource Policy Committee
- the Past President as the Division Representative to the Society Outstanding Chapter Award Subcommittee,
- the Student Representative to the Society Student Subsection,
- the Representative to the Society Certification Board of Appeals Committee (vacant),
- the Representative to the Society Hutton Award Committee (vacant),
- the Representative to the Society Meritorious Service Award Committee (vacant)
- the Representative to the Society Nominating Committee (Past President)
- the Representative to the Society Membership Committee (Vice President), and
- the Representative to the Society Electronic Services Advisory Committee (Travis Neebling)
