Bylaws Revisions Review
The Western Division is in the process of updating our Bylaws to a) reflect changes to the process of having a Western Division representative serve on the Society’s Nominating Committee recently approved by the AFS Governing Board (Sections III.2.B, III.2.C, IV.2.D, IV.5.D, and VII.2.H), and b) to change the status of the Western Native Fishes Committee from a Special Committee to a Standing Committee (Section VII.2.L). Bylaws revisions (February 2023) are now open for the 30 day membership review period. This review period is required by the Western Division Bylaws, is an important part of the AFS governance process, and allows membership to be involved in making decisions about how the Western Division operates. Please review the proposed changes to the Western Division Bylaws found here and send any comments or questions to WDAFS President-Elect Eric Fetherman ([email protected]). Following the 30 day review period, the Western Division membership will have an opportunity to vote on these changes. Keep an eye out for an email to let you know that voting is open. Thank you for your participation in this important process!
